Astrology can’t predict some cosmic events such as sunspots and solar storms, but astronomers have observed that they occur in roughly 11 year cycles.
The Solar Storms of March 23-24, 2019 made headlines and created wide ranging auroras but were extremely mild in comparison to others.
The March 13, 1989 geomagnetic storm caused a nine-hour outage of Hydro-Québec's electricity transmission system and blackouts of electrical grids.
The "Halloween" solar storms were a series of solar flares and coronal mass ejections that occurred from mid-October to early November 2003. Those geomagnetic disturbances damaged spacecraft and satellites and even caused a brief power outrage in Sweden.
The granddaddy of them all is dubbed “The Carrington Event” after amateur astronomer Richard Carrington and occurred on September 1-2, 1859.
These auroras were bright red rather than green and appeared as far south as the Caribean.
“That night, telegraph communications around the world began to fail; there were reports of sparks showering from telegraph machines, shocking operators and setting papers ablaze. All over the planet, colorful auroras illuminated the nighttime skies, glowing so brightly that birds began to chirp and laborers started their daily chores, believing the sun had begun rising. Some thought the end of the world was at hand, but Carrington’s naked eyes had spotted the true cause for the bizarre happenings: a massive solar flare with the energy of 10 billion atomic bombs.” quoting History.com
Space weather is a science based on data but predictions of upcoming solar storm events are about as accurate as astrology. You can find space weather predictions for the next 27 days at the NOAA website.

April Retrograde Review
Pallas is the only retrograde planet at the beginning of April, but this picture changes by the end of the month.
When planets change direction (station) they slow down in apparent motion, so any alignment made to one of your birth planets will last longer.
If that aspect is a trine from jolly Jupiter that is great! Ho, ho, ho!! If it is a square from solemn Saturn that is not so great. Boo, hoo, hoo.
April 9 - Ceres retrograde at 14.3 Sagittarius - green light for fire signs, red alert for mutable
April 10 - Jupiter retrograde at 24.3 Sagittarius - green for fire signs, yellow for mutable
April 24 - Pluto retrograde at 23.1 Capricorn - green for earth signs, red alert for cardinal
April 30 - Saturn retrograde at 20.5 Capricorn - yellow for earth signs, red alert for cardinal

This Zodiacal Reference Page lists the zodiacal sign categories (Earth, cardinal, etc.)
Any transiting planet applying to (approaching) an aspect within 3 degrees is considered within orb of influence. The closer your planet degree is to one of the listed degrees the more powerful the aspect. Any planet within one degree is in a powerful alignment.

Mercury - Do Miles Matter?
Mercury turned direct on March 28 at 16 Pisces within orb of a conjunction to Neptune (exact on April 2) and remains in direct motion until July 7.
If you have birth planets at 16 degrees of any sign you may be better able to articulate your ideals or intuitions this week. Some of you may simply be confused by details, if Neptune interacts with one of your birth planets in a square or opposition.
Schools teach that Venus is the closest planet to earth. Venus is approximately 25,724,767 miles from earth and Mercury approximately 56,974,146 miles from earth. That makes Mercury about twice as far away to the earth as Venus in miles.
Of course, the orbits are ellipses and not perfect circles so there is some variation in distance at different times of year. That is why scientists use AU measurements.
But, do the miles matter? This article at Physics Today can challenge your thinking processes as it claims to offer scholarly proof that Mercury is the closest planet to Earth.
