- THE SUN & EARTH & MORE -
Every project, business, romantic relationship, or partnership has its own birth chart, and the Sun and Earth are the most crucial factors in that chart.
Red days are the most challenging. Green days are the most helpful. Yellow days need extra caution
Set for NY 6 am Eastern Time
Every day can vary in its propensity for a successful outcome. Some days are better for love, and some are better for money, but of course, your own chart's transits are the most important. However, when you have great transits and also pick a great day to start something new, the magic happens!
May has some good alignments but also some unpleasant ones. No day is ever perfect.
May 9 - 14 The optimistic and farseeing Sun || Jupiter is accompanied by the Sun trine practical Ceres and a planetary eclipse of Sun and Uranus. The Sun conjunction Uranus illuminates technology, worldwide publicity, fame, and dynamic change.
A Grand Trine of Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury, Sedna, and Juno is forming in heliocentric that peaks May 14 -15.
The Sun conjunction Jupiter that peaks on May 18 is under strain as it forms a T-square with tragic Xanthus and neurotic Sappho.
Earth trine Neptune peaks on May 17 in heliocentric simultaneously, and soothes the soul, but could make any problems in this time period lasting.
May 31, the Sun square Juno, but also an Earth square Saturn in orb, so be very cautious as you could be lulled into thinking things are great when they aren't.
Enjoy a more Magical Life
The monthly mosaic of planetary patterns above shows the good (or bad!) days in general for natalizing something of great importance. However, remember that the transits to your own chart must also be considered
The TRANSIT TRACKER will help you know when the lights are red or green for YOU.
THOUGHTS & THINGS
Most people recognize a few of the songs from the 60's film with Julie Andrews or the name Mary Poppins.
Sure, you probably saw the movie with Tom Hanks, about the author of Mary Poppins who became a household name after Walt Disney reenvisioned her book.
But you might not know about the fateful astrological influence on her personal life.
P.L.Travers, the author of the Mary Poppins books was born Helen Lyndon Goff in Australia on August 9, 1899 and died in England April 23 1996. This sometimes actress, frequent poet and writer used the stage name Pamela Lyndon Travers in an Australian Shakespearean acting troupe and used the pen name P.L. Travers for the publication of the Mary Poppins books.
She traveled the world, settling in London in 1924, supporting herself with freelance writing, some book and theater reviews, and poetry for the Irish Statesman in the 1920’s. She rubbed shoulders with the intellectionals of the times, met and became a disciple of occultist George Gurdjieff in France and studied with Carl Jung in Switzerland. In 1934 she released a book called Moscow Excursion based on her tour of the Soviet Union. She worked in New York during WWII for the British Ministry of Information, spending summers studying the folklore of the Navajo, Hopi, and Pueblo Indians for the U.S. Commissioner of Indian Affairs.
Back to England after the war, she continued to write, but in need of money eventually succumbed to the charms of Walt Disney and sold the film rights to Mary Poppins. She returned to the U.S. in 1965, riding high on the Walt Disney film fame, becoming writer-in-residence at Radcliffe College, Smith College in 1966, and California's Scripps College in 1970, before leaving once again for England in 1976.
From her chart, it is obvious that she received jobs and income through her charming personality and lofty international connections. In the chart below, the Grand Trine of Venus, Chiron, Uranus, Sedna, and Diana are highlighted. Mercury is square Uranus, too, so she was an eccentric, brilliant and sociable person with a variety of interests in contrast to her portrayal in the Saving Mr. Banks movie, which focused on her stodginess during the making of Walt Disney's film while she was in her 60's.
Her Sun was trine Saturn, so she was self-disciplined, ambitious, and organized, but her Sun was also trine Juno, showing a streak of creativity and a flare for fantasy.

In heliocentric the Earth, Jupiter, and Pluto create a mystical triangle that explains her frequent travels (Jupiter) and passion (Pluto) for knowledge.
In both charts the conjunction of Midas and Odin might represent the wealth she amassed in the last third of her life.

Travers never married although she apparently had fleeting relationships with men. Her closest friend was Madge Burnand, daughter of Sir Francis Burnand a playwright, and the former editor of Punch. They shared a London flat from 1927 to 1934, then they moved to a cottage in Sussex where Mary Poppins was written.
At the age of 40, two years after moving out to live on her own, Travers adopted a baby boy from Ireland whom she named Camillus Travers Hone. He was the grandchild of Joseph Hone, W. B. Yeats' first biographer, who was raising his seven grandchildren with his wife. It is likely that Travers, a jet setter of her times, was attracted to his literary pedigree.
Camillus had a twin brother named Anthony, but Travers chose only one twin, based on advice from an astrologer who advised her to adopt the first-born son. A 2013 New Statesman article by Valerie Grove said, “She asked an astrologer in California to prepare the babies’ horoscopes and used his charts to choose Camillus, sailing almost at once with him to the US as an evacuee.”
Camillus was never informed that he was adopted so it was a shock when, at age 17, his twin brother who was raised with fewer advantages knocked on the door, creating a schism in the mother/ son relationship. Her later years may have been more serene if she had been more truthful, or adopted both twins. Not so great a legacy for a woman whose children’s books earned her an OBE.
