Every day can vary in its propensity for a successful outcome. Some days are better for love, and some are better for money, but of course, your own chart's transits are the most important. However, when you have great transits and also pick a great day to start something new, the magic happens!

As you can see, February is not one of the greatest months.

Delay major undertakings until March, unless you have some excellent transits to your own chart. However, Feb 1 and 2 are decent and February 6 and 7th have some supportive planetary synchronizations.

Feb 16-19 highlights power struggles and could be quite stressful on the world stage. Xanthus is part of the turbulent planetary synchronizations. See comments below about Xanthus.

Feb 25 - 28 Saturn opposite Earth - negativity may affect everything. Very poor time for starting anything new.

Murderous Xanthus might have a deeper meaning.

Sure, we have seen Xanthus active in the charts of cold blooded killers like Ted Bundy and mass murderers involved in school shootings. But tragic deaths also touch ordinary lives.

Geraldine Brooks, (born September 14, 1955), a Pulitzer Prize winning author, was married to a fellow prize winning journalist named Tony Horwitz (born June 19, 1958) for many years. He collapsed and died from heart failure on May 27, 2019, while walking in Washington D.C. Although most of her transits were favorable, Xanthus was parallel to her Sun and Venus that day.             

Scottish Actress Ashley Jensen (star of Agatha Raisin, and this year’s season of Shetland) was born August 11, 1969, and married actor Terence Beesley (September 7, 1957) in 2007. Ashley returned home on Nov 30, 2017, to find that her husband had taken his own life. The official cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning. Transiting Xanthus activated a natal T square in her chart on that day. Xanthus was conjunct her natal Ixion, square her natal Ceres and opposite her natal Sedna. Xanthus made an impact on her natal planetary T-square and her life.

VALENTINE'S DAY

February has the fewest days of the month, but it is tricky because sometimes there are 28 days and sometimes 29. It also sports a holiday with murky origins.

Which of three martyred St. Valentines of the Catholic Church have the right to be called THE Saint Valentine of this day’s tradition?

Or is this holiday merely a corruption of the Galatin's Day celebrated by the Normans? Galatin meant "lover of women” according to an article at NPR.

Or, could it even be a modern form of the Roman feast of Lupercalia, dedicated to fertility?

In most English speaking countries, February is too early to plant and too late for harvest so there wasn't much to do without TV or the internet. That meant more time for romance (wink, wink).

Astrologically, on February 14 the Sun’s declination is between 12- 13 ° N. This is approximately the midway point between Sun’s declination on the winter solstice (23° 27” N) and during the spring equinox (0°).

It makes sense that ancient peoples celebrated a turning point of the seasons since it meant that spring was on its way... modern man has kept up the tradition.

This year's Valentine’s Day might be a great time to share some kisses, or show your affection with a box of chocolates, or some beautiful flowers.Transiting Chiron is linked to romantic Juno, while in heliocentric Venus is quincunx luxury loving Jupiter and trine amorous Chiron.
